Easter Egg Hunt 2022
On April 22nd, 2022, the Rock Hill Housing Authority hosted its 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Workman Street Park in Rock Hill, SC. The event featured over 65 children and their parents and some grandparents. Many of the parents and grandparents in attendance participate in the Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) and Jobs Plus programs. The event provided staff with opportunities to talk with parents and grandparents about both the ROSS program and the Jobs Plus program as well as the supportive services and benefits of the programs. Sha'Mara Henderson, MSW, ROSS Coordinator, says, "It makes me happy to see the children in the community light up as they search for eggs and other goodies". Light refreshments were served, and drawings were held for prizes and giveaways. Sponsors of the event included the Rock Hill Housing Authority, Sisters United As One, Adah Light #003, and the City of Rock Hill.
