Sha'Mara Henderson Joins Rock Hill Housing Staff

ROCK HILL, SC --- Sha'Mara J. Henderson recently joined the staff of Rock Hill Housing serving as ROSS Service Coordinator.

In this role, Henderson will assess the service needs of program participants, and through service coordination, assist participants in accessing appropriate public or private community agencies to obtain specialized types of assistance.

Originally from Loris, Henderson relocated to the Rock Hill area in August 2017. Henderson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Winthrop University and is a 2022 MSW Candidate from Winthrop University.

With 4 years of experience, Henderson brings their case management expertise to the agency. Prior to joining Rock Hill Housing, Henderson served as the CPS Supervisor and Investigator for the York County Department of Social Services. In this role, Henderson worked with community partners, families, and children in the community.

Henderson does not have any children. During their free time, Henderson enjoys reading, pedicures with friends, and giving back to the community.

Since 1965, Rock Hill Housing has provided housing assistance for families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities in the cities of Rock Hill and Great Falls. Rock Hill Housing has 369 public housing units and manages 589 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV), previously Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, for area landlords.

The mission of Rock Hill Housing is to provide safe, clean, affordable housing and effective social services to low- and moderate-income families and individuals. The Rock Hill Housing team of dedicated employees and Commissioners in partnership with their residents, utilize accepted business principles and all available resources to improve the quality of life for all participants.
